In 2001, FM Relocation established FM Rental Services to better serve the needs of our corporate relocating clients. We recognize that many transferees and new hires may choose either a long term lease as they learn their new area, or possibly a short term lease if they are working towards a home purchase decision.

Through strategic partnership, worldwide, FM Rental Services streamlines the apartment search process. Many communities may be viewed via our specialized e-mail software or by pre-arranged personal tours of carefully matched communities.

As a division of FM Relocation, it is the goal of FM Rental Services to provide quality short and long term rental assistance and ultimately a smooth transition to the assigned agent for home purchase needs, if desired.

Recruiting Assistance

In order to help your company recruit and retain the best employees in a very competitive market, FMRS will provide the following:

A Relocation Counselor will speak with the prospective candidate. The counselor will create an in depth profile to determine the candidate’s needs and answer any questions the candidate has about the area. A customized information package will then be sent directly to the candidate.

Area Overview Tours are given when the candidate visits the area. The carefully matched Sales Associate(s) who conducts the tour is selected based on the profile we have taken of the candidate’s needs. These experienced associates provide a tour encompassing area housing and neighborhoods, school systems, various local attractions and any other areas of interest.

Home Marketing Assistance

One of the biggest tasks your employees will face before relocating is selling their home. FM Relocation Services Home Marketing Assistance Program will:

  • Profile the current home situation.
  • Mail information that will aid the employee in preparing to list their home for sale.
  • Contact a proven, results oriented broker in the employee's current market to have a market analysis conducted on the property.
  • Review the market analysis with the employee and coach them on necessary repairs and on how to price the home realistically.
  • Monitor the activities of the recommended listing agent to insure all possible tools are being utilized to market the home.
  • Review and advise the employee regarding any offers to purchase and contract.
  • Provide advice and support throughout the sales process so the employee receives the highest offer possible in the shortest amount of time!

Household Goods Management

We will assist your employee in moving their household goods by offering the following services:

Four Competitive Contracts with National Van Lines: Offers your employees choice and benefits of our volume leverage.

Employee Counseling: We explain the move process and discuss in detail the Qualcomm move policy.

Schedule Services: The relocation coordinator will set up the survey, packing, loading and delivery of the employee’s household goods.

Claims Settlement: All claims are tracked internally to insure prompt and acceptable settlement. Our relocation coordinators continue to communicate with your employee until the claim is settled.

Competitive Pricing: Our negotiated contracts with two major van lines include sizable discounts, free valuation, guaranteed dates and full replacement value (see fee schedule for applicable discount).

Invoice Audit/Performance Evaluation: All invoices are audited in-house by our in-house audit department for accuracy. We verify weights, services, mileage, tariff and policy adherence. At the completion of each relocation, we perform a comprehensive performance evaluation. All results are tracked and forwarded for your review.

Policy Review and Consultation
Our experienced team of relocation professionals will work closely with your human resources staff to design a policy or policies to meet your employee relocation goals, objectives and bottom line.

Policy Administration
In order to remove additional work load from your human resources staff, FM Relocation will communicate to each employee (as a group or individually) his or her specified benefits.

Expense Tracking
We have an efficient method to reimburse and track employee relocation expenses. The program helps the corporation and its employees remain IRS compliant. (See back of this binder cover for details of this program)

Customized Reporting
We will design a report based on the services you select to administer as part of your relocation program. Soon all updates and reports will be available on-line with the use of a protected pin number.
